Real Talk: In 1986, the authoritarian dictatorship was replaced by liberal democratic republic. However, the new liberal government was inefficient, ineffective and elitist.The standards of living of the people did not improve, despite what was promised by the liberals.This drove the people to a point of desperation to vote for authoritarian brutes once again.
