Pinagpapaliwanag ni Pangulong Duterte si Health Secretary Francisco Duque matapos kwestyunin ng Commission on Audit ang naging paggamit ng Department of Health sa Pondo nito. Ayon sa malakanyang ipinauubaya na ni Duterte sa DOJ ang imbestigasyon sakaling mayroon mang lumabas na anomalya sa paggastos ng naturang pondo.
"I hope there will be a fair justice in this issue and if found guilty, he/they should be punish according to the rule of law. Nobody has the right to take advantage the situation especially during pandemic. GOD is watching us!"
